Need more than fingerless gloves please!
It is hurting to type today. For some reason I thought my fingerless gloves were enough this morning heading in. I was wrong. I tried to keep my fingers warm by taking turns under my armpits, but that was a bit dangerous. By the time i got in to work there was no feeling in my fingertips. Can I go home? They've finally gotten feeling back. So now I can do my job and post. Whew!
What a bunch of crap last night at our Kickball game. I could care less about winning and all that, but the damn ref sucks. I even think he's drunk our high! Not that i so much care about either state, but not when your trying to maintain an adult kickball game. Oh well, more beer I guess.
Have to spend the better half of the evening tonight getting stuff ready for the Dam Challenge triathalon on Saturday. Already have the denim vest, but am still looking for the Daisy Duke cutt-offs and headband. Gotta make sure that Le Coq Sportif is looking good! I'll be riding my Merckx and I'll set Adam up with the Moots. It's only a 16 mile bike ride so I ain't too woried. The canoe is about 6 and they top it off with a 5k run. Never done one of these before. I'll be sure to post some pics of us denim demons!

Hey buddy
Good times coming into work yesterday morning. While passing Hiawatha Golf Course I got yelled at by a damn golfer.
"Hey buddy, hey you on the bike. Hey there!"
I turned to look at him after I pretended not to hear.
"What?"
"Can you get my golf ball for me?"
I looked and the ball was half way up the yard near someone's house. Much against my will i dismounted and ran up and got it. I made sure when I threw it back to the golfer back over the fence that I really whipped it. The damn guy didn't even say thanks, so I rode over to the fence to clear my throat.
"Oh, yeah. Thanks man!"
The rest of the commute out to St Louis Park was nice. I love the fact that I can pretty much take a trail/path the whole way out to Hwy 7 and Louisiana. I could even go many more miles if I chose. The commute on my old one speed Schwinn Speedster is a great way to start out the day. I realize that I cannot go an faster than I am, so I just take it easy and enjoy myself. The cold weather will soon follow.

What a bummer of a weekend with the damn weather. It was crappy both Saturday and Sunday and now today it's nice. How about that.
The commute in was nice today. It was definitely cold this morning without gloves! It's warmed up all day and the ride home should be sweet! I did volunteer a the Hub for about 5 hours fixing up bikes for the Pedalution event that they hosted. Met some real nice folks there. Sean seems like a cool guy and is trying to get a team going out of the shop. I am sure he should have no problems, they seem to get a lot of people in and out of there. I would love to get on the team and do some racing. I like the co-opportunity of the shop.
Spent the better part of Sunday with Lisa driving around to different reused/antique shops looking for various things for our house. Our luck sucked and every place but one that we wanted to go to was closed. Ended up in St. Paul at a cafe that was closing as we went in for a snack. Not much luck all round. We ended up at Cafe Latte with bunch of damn rich Grand Ave. bezatches. Christ that area makes me cringe. I always laugh to see people that dress up to go shopping. Talking on cell phones and driving and eating. Thank god I am not them.
I gotta get out of work early today so I can take out my road bike and do a bit of training for this weekends triathalon. More later when the weather's not as nice.

Its a beautiful day out. Sure as shit fall has arrived. Damn cold riding in to work today. My hands were numb and fell asleep. All day I have been fighting to keep them from tingling and warm.
I am hoping I can leave work early today so I can ride downtown and get some miles in before we head over to some friends for dinner. I think we are going to go to the Schmitz's to see the little one and eat some pizza. Sounds good to me. I'd like to ride the tandem over there. I will try my hardest to see if Lisa is up for it. We could take Minnehaha Creek trail the whole way over. It'd be quite nice tonight. Maybe cold on the way home, but with a couple of beers in ya, who'll notice.
Then tomorrow I am heading over to the The Hub Bike shop to volunteer and fix up some bikes for folks. Then it'll be a good road ride, hopefully with my buddy Steve who recently returned from Switzerland and China.
